It's great to see the momentum for enforcing air-sealing regulations being seriously considered in our building codes after last week's Passivhaus conference.

This is an approach we have included in our submissions to the Victorian Government's Energy Productivity policy development, which is also being supported by the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council.

We believe householders should have control of their ventilation - and air-sealing of our modular fabric is something we have designed into our modular system.

The graph below shows the performance we can achieve for both simple, naturally ventilated projects, as well as fully sealed designs with heat recovery ventilation systems.

The Passivhais standard results are on the extreme right, which is easily achieved by Habitech, with a minimum of further caulking.
