There was a great turnout of cleantech industry representatives and investors at last Thursday's Melbourne Cleantech event in the beautiful Yarra Room at the Melbourne Town Hall, with portraits of suitably bearded (and hipster looking) past Lord Mayors gazing down from the walls and the current Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle, who gave us all a warm welcome.
Cleantech events bring together the industries of the future, facilitating and delivering Australian Clean Technology investments on behalf of both investors and project proponents.
Habitech was given the opportunity to explain our services in a timed pitching session, along with two other representatives. It was great to meet several interested parties after the presentation, all wanting to find out more about Habitech and how we work.
Another interesting pitch was from Aquamation Industries, who offer a cleaner alternative to burials and cremations, by dissolving bodies in stainless steel tubs filled with potassium-enriched water. Aquamation claims that their process emits only 10% of the CO2 emitted from a traditional cremation.
We're looking forward to the next event and continuing to generate interest into the prefab sector, as more people realise the huge benefits on offer.
