Melbourne Uni Study in Barcelona

We are pleased to say the Melbourne University study of our Alpine House was well received at the World Sustainable Building Conference in Barcelona. Undertaken by Chris Jensen of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, the study looked at how effectively energy rating software can deal with high performance, autonomous (not grid connected) houses. Internal and external air temperatures were monitored over a 6.5 month period and compared with the energy modelling predictions from both regulatory and more advanced software.

We are pleased to say the house maintained more comfortable temperatures than predicted by the energy rating software, particularly throughout the predominant winter season.
