University of Melbourne - Alpine House Study

We are very excited to announce that the thermal and energy performance of the Alpine House is to be monitored and studied by the Architecture Department from the University of Melbourne.

Temperature loggers and power meters have been fitted  to the house and will measure it’s performance, over a six month period. This real comfort and energy data will then be compared to the predictions of the FirstRate energy rating software, as well as a more comprehensive modelling with the Virtual Environments modelling software.

We are very keen to see the results and will post updates on the findings as possible between now and the end of January 2014.
