HAbitech New zealand

Habitech Systems is delighted to now be able to offer our services in New Zealand, exclusively through our partners, LiteGreen Projects.

LiteGreen formed in Christchurch in 2015, merging together over 20 years of building and project management experience in response to the standard of the homes that were being built, in essence “Code minimum" homes which are legally the worst homes you can build in New Zealand.

Licensed builder Logan Bergs and Senior Project Manager Andrei Martin, found that builders were able to overcharge for sub-standard “Code minimum” homes that took forever to build. Logan and Andrei wanted to show home buyers that they could build high performance homes that were not only sustainable, but affordable - architectural and simply beautiful.

The two created LiteGreen, and after failing to find a product in New Zealand that delivered the quality and efficiency benefits that they needed, LiteGreen approached Habitech to become the exclusive distributor in New Zealand.

LiteGreen are members of the Certified Builders Association and also the Superhome movement, which, over the next three years aims to build over 1000 homes that all achieve HomeStar ratings of between 6 and 10 stars to finally bring New Zealand homes into the 21st Century.

Affordability, earthquake resilience, thermal comfort and a healthy indoor environment are key elements of a Super Home, but ultimately the aim is to “promote and normalise” the idea of energy-efficient sustainable homes through open source sharing of design and construction information.

We're looking forward to this next chapter of the Habitech story - this time in New Zealand!
